Black Gold

This was originally just a sketch/speedpaint that turned into a full portrait, where I decided to play with texture and rain a little more.

Here is Calemir, one of my two Skyrim characters. He is a young Altmer, a High Elf, possibly formerly associated with the Thalmor. His entire world was shattered by the events that unfolded since he was wrongfully arrested and associated with the Nords at the very beginning of his story. Add to that being Dragonborn - to have the Dragon Blood, which could be seen as 'impure', not pure Altmer. Not to mention the ties he subsequently has to the Blades, enemies of the Thalmor. It doesn't help that as Dragonborn he also becomes compared to and associated with Talos, the 'false god'. The Thalmor themselves basically abandon him, even turn on him.

I would imagine all of this would be quite hard on him. Throw his own arrogance and disdain for other races into the mix along with his bitterness and disillusionment, and he could become a very dark, dangerous person.
