Fake/mock book cover illustration...This was done as a bit of a last-minute thing for a class...Cranked it out in about four days (from the starting point of "Wait...there's an assignment?! And it's due when?! I have no idea what I'm going to do for this project!!!"). Since we were able to make one based on our own stories (either that or make a short story or movie poster or short storyboard), I just picked a character of mine and created a cover for a story that they might be featured in. In this case, the character is Laren, the young (and still somewhat inexperienced) cartographer/explorer. His story would probably involve the choice of finding a treasure (or something along those lines) versus finding the group he was separated from versus finding the way out of the dark place he's found himself in, without being found and "kept" by the native inhabitants. His story isn't fully developed or anything, but at least there's an idea for it.

I'll probably post a version without the text, so you guys can see the difference. Could be better, I know, but I'm fairly satisfied with it, considering the amount of time I had to spend on it.
